Citizens Bank Announces Plan for New Downtown Auburn Branch
Citizens Bank of Nevada County (the “Bank”), subsidiary of Citizens Bancorp (PINK SHEETS: CZNB), announced today that they have submitted an application to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”) for approval to open a new branch office in historic downtown Auburn. The new branch, if approved, will be located at 750 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA.
“When approved, this Branch will be Citizens Bank Downtown Auburn and it will be a first step toward implementing our plans to expand our local and personal approach to banking beyond the borders of Nevada County”, said Judy Hess, President & CEO of Citizens. “We’re very excited about expanding our existing delivery of high quality diversified financial services to additional residents and businesses in Auburn and Placer County.” She added, “Citizens Bank’s branded ‘Your community. Your bank.’ philosophy has been the underlying mantra in doing what is right for the customers and communities that we have served over the last 10 years. We look forward to being a more vital part of the life and growth of Auburn and Placer County.”
Founded in February 1995, Citizens Bank, headquartered in Nevada City, became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company in 2003. The Bank currently has five branches, one in Nevada City, two in Grass Valley, one in Lake of the Pines and one in Penn Valley.
