Citizens Bank Promotes New Executive Officers
Nevada City, California, October 20, 2009. Gary D. Gall, President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bancorp (the Company) (OTC Bulletin Board: CZNB), and subsidiary, Citizens Bank of Northern California, announced today that Michael Behn and Phillip Campbell have been promoted to Executive Vice Presidents at the Bank and the Company. Both executives currently hold senior management roles within the organization.
Michael Behn joined Citizens Bank in 2003 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Today his dual role includes both information technology as well as the Bank’s Senior Credit Administrator. “Michael’s 25 years experience in banking is broad based with concentrations in lending, technology and banking systems and operation” said Gary Gall. He added, “Michael has been instrumental to our Bank over the last six years and his promotion is well-earned.” Behn regularly serves the local community providing risk management seminars to local businesses, government and non-profits. He is an advocate for elder financial protection.
Phillip Campbell joined Citizens Bank in 2009 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer. “Phil most recently served as the Chief Counsel for the Wachovia Small Business Capital companies and was a partner with the Weintraub firm in Sacramento. His 30-year professional career includes providing general legal counsel to the banking industry in the areas of corporate governance, securities, loan documentation, regulatory compliance, government and business banking, and SBA lending” said Gary Gall. He added, “Phil’s expertise and guidance is invaluable to our Bank’s leadership team and our day-to-day business operations.” In addition to various community projects Campbell is a former director of Habitat for Humanity in Sacramento and Woodcreek Little League.
Founded in February 1995, Citizens Bank, headquartered in Nevada City, became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company in 2003. In addition to their Auburn branch located in Placer County, the Bank has six other branches in communities throughout Nevada County, including Nevada City, Grass Valley, Penn Valley, Lake of the Pines, and Truckee.
